What is the Best Blogging Software?

This is, obviously, an article on what is the best blogging software. Well it all depends on what type of blogger you are. But the main question behind this article is Blogger or WordPress?

Well first I'm going to ask you to categorize yourself into a beginner, an intermediate or an expert blogger based on your experience. For beginners I would strongly recommend Blogger because it is really easy to set up, all you really need is a Google account (Gmail). Now the downsides to Blogger are that unless you register a domain you don't actually own the site, it is actually an extension of Bloggers website. This means if Blogger ever shut down (unlikely) you would lose all your work and your domain unless you exported your blog which is actually quite easy, if you make a blog with Blogger I would recommend exporting it immediately just in case. Another downside to Blogger is that it is very simple, which can good or bad. Bad in the sense that you cannot have all the features and plugins you can have with WordPress, but good in the sense that its much easier to work with.

For intermediate and expert bloggers you are at the stage where the choice you have with Blogger just isn't enough and you need more plugins, features, etc. You should really consider switching to WordPress because with WordPress you have a lot more choice and a lot more ways to make your blog unique which at your level you would need to be doing. All you need to do to get a WordPress is go onto their website and click download and start blogging but with more choice. It only takes 5 minutes.
